23 Degrees is energy efficient, firesafe, waterproof and offers excellent acoustics. It is also natural (primarily made from Supafil components) to provide a comfortable, safe and warm environment for your home and your family.
Why 23 Degrees?
23 Degrees is widely considered to be an optimal temperature for comfortable living… it reflects our simple motivation, to help improve the standard of living for all New Zealanders.
Here are our seven stars:
Thanks to spaces between the fibres and its porous, open structure, Supafil provides good sound absorption and reduces noise vibrations
Supafil is so effective it can be used under extreme conditions. Retaining insulation properties in both very low and very high temperatures
Supafil will not absorb, retain or transmit water across cavities. Silicone is added to ensure the insulation remains dry and effective. If water vapour is present (usually due to none-water tight cladding), Supafil allows it to pass freely allowing walls to breathe
Supafil will keep the heat in over the colder months and keep it out over summer making it easier and cheaper to heat your space properly
Non-combustible, Supafil will not burn, melt or cause hazardous fumes when exposed to an ignition source. Supafil will retard the spread of flames and is certified for existing fire rated walls. Supafil improves protection of property and belongings in the event of a fire
Supafil easily meets the 50 year durability requirement for the New Zealand Building code and in fact will last longer. It does not contain diffusing gases that might compromise thermal performance over time
Supafil is 97% mineral materials made from crushed volcanic rock - a renewable and plentiful natural resource
